I think it’d be cooler and more diversive if they did, but I LOVE Bill Forbes. I hate it when characters are ruled by one facet of themselves and I love the fact that Bill was gay wasn’t his ruling role. People probably wanted a more likeable person, but I don’t really agree with that kind of thinking, that people of different races, sexuality, wearing a different hat should portrayed as perfect, kind people. There are people like that, of course, good people, but it’s more important that they are people. I don’t really about whether some is being the perfect face of their respective community and I focus more on whether they’re an actual person, based on their background. Sexuality isn’t that important to me, not when there are more important things like loss and family. He wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t because he was gay. It was because he was human.
